POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE - Salinas, CA

A non-tenure, 1-year renewable appointment, with Dept. Plant Sciences, University of California, Davis, Research Center in Salinas, CA. Salinas is a premier flower, vegetable and strawberry producing region, close to Monterey and San Francisco. We seek a researcher to manage an existing soilless strawberry production project. The candidate will develop specific fertility and moisture management recommendations for soilless strawberry production.

Qualifications include a PhD in a related agricultural or biological science with experience or training in horticulture, or plant pathology is required. Training or experience in management of fertility for soilless production is desirable. Requires strong written and oral communication skills, willing to travel, and secure a driver’s license.
