PhD FELLOWSHIP - University of Florida

The Department of Environmental Horticulture is seeking a highly qualified and motivated student to lead a four-year PhD research project focused on characterizing the invasive potential of ornamental plants in Florida and their association with related native Flora. Research emphasis will consist of (but is not limited to) native and invasive seed physiology, ecology, photosynthesis, propagation, nutrient use efficiency, and/or cultivar evaluation. Flexibility exits for students to conduct additional research based on their interest and expertise. The successful candidate will receive a $22,000/year stipend, FULL tuition waiver, health benefits, and FREE graduate housing that includes electric, phone, and laundry for 4 years.
