CHAIR, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE - Eastern Kentucky University

Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for the position of Chair, Department of Agriculture. Requirements include an earned doctorate in an Agriculture-related field from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution; must meet the requirements for appointment with tenure at the rank of professor or associate professor; must have a record of excellence in teaching, a commitment to and a record of productive research, and service; must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage budget and personnel issues; and must have demonstrated leadership skills in building cooperative and collaborative relationships both with the University’s and College’s other academic units and with units external to the University.

The Chair reports directly to the Dean of the College of Business and Technology. Eastern Kentucky University named among America’s best colleges by Forbes and among “Great Colleges to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education, is a four-year public comprehensive university offering 168 undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over 16,000 students.  EKU is conveniently located in Richmond, KY, 20 minutes south of Lexington, in the heart of the Bluegrass State.
