ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, PLANT BREEDER - University of Florida, IFAS, Everglades REC- Belle Glade

This is a 12-month tenure-accruing position that will be 80% research (Florida Agricultural Experiment Station) and 20% extension (Florida Cooperative Extension Service), available in the Everglades Research and Education Center, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, at the University of Florida. Conduct an active breeding program for the development of crisphead, butterhead, cos, and leaf cultivars of lettuce and St. Augustinegrass turf that are primarily adapted to Florida. Tenure will accrue in the Department of Horticulture.

An earned doctorate in plant breeding, horticulture or a closely related discipline is required. Position will open until a viable applicant pool is determined.
