ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/STATE EXTENSION SPECIALIST (FRUIT) - Lincoln University in Missouri

Lincoln University Cooperative Extension and Research (Jefferson City, MO) re-invites applications for an Assistant Professor/State Extension Specialist—Fruit (http://www.lincolnu.edu/pages/110.asp?PositionID=385). This is a 75% Extension and 25% Research, 12-month, permanent position that is promotable to Associate Professor and Professor levels.
Successful candidate will develop and implement statewide extension and research programs that focus on the improvement of production and quality of fruits, especially small fruits, by small scale producers. Programs will emphasize integrated and sustainable production systems including the incorporation of organic methods.

Applicants must have an earned PhD in horticulture or plant science with knowledge and experience related to commercial fruit production; and strong written and oral communication skills. Experience of working with low income, ethnically diverse and underserved audiences, and ability to speak and read Spanish preferred.
