My career and love for horticulture began in high school when I started a job at a local garden center my junior year. After that, deciding what to major in during college was easy and I graduated in 2012 with a B.S. in Horticulture from Penn State University. Through out my 4 years in college I held a wide range of jobs and internships ranging from a Horticulture Professional Intern at Walt Disney World to a Wedding Consultant at local flower shop. Currently, I run a greenhouse where we job train adults with developmental disabilities and provide therapeutic horticulture services. I have been with them for 4.5 years and can proudly say I have my dream job. Growing up with a special needs brother created a very special place in my heart for people like him and I am so grateful to be able to combine two very important aspects of my life into a job I love.
