Distinguished Achievement Awards for Nursery Crops

Distinguished Achievement Awards are given to encourage and recognize outstanding achievement of a specialized nature consistent with the overall objectives of the Society. The award was established to recognize superior productivity and innovation, or other noteworthy accomplishments in research, teaching, and/or extension in production, physiology, and/or use of landscape plants.

The Distinguished Achievement Awards for Nursery Crops permits the recognition of noteworthy achievements in the Nursery Crops Working Group.


To be eligible for the award, nominees must have been an ASHS Member for at least three years.

Membership in the Nursery Crops Interest Group is not required.

Previous award recipients are not eligible.


Individuals must be nominated by an ASHS Member.

Nominations must include brief biographical information, a curriculum vitae, and no more than five pages (total) describing the accomplishments or programs for which the individual is being nominated.

Two letters of reference are required.
