Distinguished Achievement Awards are given to encourage and recognize outstanding achievement of a specialized nature consistent with the overall objectives of the Society.
The Industry Distinguished Achievement Award permits the recognition of noteworthy achievements in the Industry Division and is intended as a lifetime achievement award.
Past recipients include Anthony "Tony" Simmons (2015), Katie Moss Warner (2014), David H. Murdock (2013), Paul Ecke, Jr. (2000), Glen Goldsmith (1999), Bruce Biggs (1998), and Claude Hope (1997).
ASHS members are invited to submit nominations for the Industry Distinguished Achievement Award to be presented by the Industry Division at the ASHS Annual Conference.
This award honors "the outstanding contributions of an industry horticulturist to the science and profession of horticulture, as evidenced by an original research project, method, invention, or other innovative application of horticultural science in the private sector."
Nominees need not be ASHS Members; however, they should be actively working in industry and/or should have spent most of their careers in the private sector.
Deadline is April 1.
