Regional Groups

There are currently two active regional groups in the U.S. in which members may participate: Southern and Northern. Regional groups offer members the opportunity to attend smaller meetings with people working under the same climatic conditions.

ASHS Southern Region (SR-ASHS)

The Southern Region of ASHS was developed in 1920.

Its purpose is to:

  • Encourage and facilitate the mutual exchange of ideas and information concerning horticultural research, extension, education, and industry in the south.

  • Promote stronger bonds among horticulturists in the southern regions.

  • Encourage participation in the national society of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
